What is it about? In THE HOLY LAND, Mendy, a young rabbinical student, finds his faith tested as he falls in love with Sacha, a prostitute and befriends Mike, a bawdy American ex-pat who owns a scuzzy dive bar where Arabs, Christians and Jews drink side by side.

Why should I see it? Not only did THE HOLY LAND win the Grand Jury Prize for best feature film at the 2002 Slamdance Film Festival, but this is a rare chance to see a worthy independent film of substance that is unlikely to find distribution.
